A note of thanks

A note of thanks

Dear Fr. Dominic,

"Thank you for your wonderful letter in July on the anniversary of my dear wife Carol's passing. Your letter served as a reminder of how Carol could be walking in heaven with our Lord's hand on her shoulder, and hearing him say, "You belong here with me." From time to time, I feel Carol's hand on my shoulder to remind me she's not far away. You see, we always walked hand in hand."

Carol and Carl first met when they were 5 years old, shopping with their mothers in downtown Milwaukee. Their mothers knew each other, and "talked, and talked and talked! In the meantime, Carol and I didn't say a word to each other, never dreaming we would marry 18 years later!"

Carol graduated from UMMilwaukee with degrees in Education and Childhood Development. Carl graduated from Marquette with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating in 1951, they married and raised 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl and are blessed with 2 grandchildren.

"I didn't know anything about the Priests of the Sacred Heart in those early days. When I started to receive your mailings, I began to realize the good work, the operation of the seminary and the missionary outreach you are doing. Then I concluded I had had to offer my prayers and financial support." States Carl.

Carl continues, "I want to also thank you for your letter confirming my membership in the Heart-to-Heart Society. It just makes good sense to me to assure you of monthly support in the most efficient way."

"Again, thank you Fr. Dominic, I keep your letter of Carol's anniversary of passing and read it frequently."

Carl, K., Fort Worth, TX
