Bob, also known as Woody,is a proud Irishman. His beloved wife passed away in 2017 after 48 years of marriage. Fond memories will mend a broken heart but prayer readily brings God to the rescue.

Woody is a graduate of Marquette University High School & Marquette University. An early career in radio found him in Milwaukee, the state if Wisconsin, Penn Yan, NY, and Washington DC. On the air in Washington when President Kennedy was assassinated, he witnessed a community grappling with the unexpected but alive with fervent hope for the future.

His long-time parish in Milwaukee, St Rose of Lima, was the site of a fund-raising Irish Spaghetti Dinner that saw his involvement. Together with St. Michaels, he proudly served on the board of ACTS, a groundbreaking effort founded by Fr. Dennis Lewis to bring affordable home ownership to needy families.

For many years, Woody worked both in city and county government as staff for two Mayors and a County Executive. He opened Milwaukee's cable television office and was also a member of the Fire and Police Commission. In volunteer work, he served on the board of the Irish Cultural & Heritage Center, while working with the Ancient Order of Hibernians, and is currently a member of the Wisconsin Hispanic Scholarship Foundation, sponsor of the summer lakefront festival Mexican Fiesta.

He fondly remembers his widowed mother's devotion to the Priests of the Sacred Heart and the prayerful efforts by the priest who found time to comfort her. Inspired by her monthly gift of $5.00, Woody became a monthly supporter of Hearts to Heart (H2H) as well as the marvelous outreach work aimed at serving all those in need.
